Sibel Salman is a Professor at the Industrial Engineering Department of the College of Engineering at Koç University in Istanbul, Turkey. Prior to joining Koç University, she held a faculty position at the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University, USA. She got her Ph.D. in Operations Research from Carnegie Mellon University, the USA, and her M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees from Bilkent University, Turkey. She has published in the areas of disaster and healthcare logistics, supply chain management, facility location, vehicle routing, network design, production scheduling, approximation algorithms, and online algorithms. She is a department editor for the OR Spectrum journal, an associate editor for the Omega, Networks, Sustainable Analytics and Modeling and Socio-Economic Planning Science journals, and has been/is on the editorial board of the European Journal of Operational Research, Computers, and Operations Research, and Production and Operations Management journals. She is a co-founder of the EURO Working Group on Humanitarian Operations (HOpe) and is currently a coordinating member of the EURO WISDOM Forum. She is a member of the Science Academy in Turkey.
Amirreza Pashapour is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Industrial Engineering and Operations Management program, at Koc University, joined in 2020. He holds M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Industrial Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Iran. He has published in humanitarian logistics areas and works on Operations Research applications and Network Optimization models.
I'm a PhD student at Koç University, GSSE and Im working as a Graduate Research Assistant at KU-HOPE research lab. My research interests are Humanitarian logestics and sustainable food supply chain. I’m an explorer, dreamer, developer, thinker and so much more.
As a Ph.D. candidate researcher, I have a passion for using my skills to contribute to the field of humanitarian logistics. My expertise in integer programming modeling, heuristics, and machine learning enables me to help organizations respond more efficiently and effectively to humanitarian crises. I'm currently working on optimizing home healthcare operations with the aim of delivering services more efficiently by leveraging machine learning algorithms and exploring prioritization strategies for improved care delivery.
I am Hossein Torkinezhadirani, a dedicated Master student in Industrial Engineering at Koç University, with the academic background of Industrial engineering acquired during my undergraduate studies at University of Tabriz.
Ben Bora Dağlıoğlugil, endüstri mühendisliği 3.sınıf öğrenciyim. KU HOPE'da EVSAR projesinde proje koordinatörü olarak görev alıyorum.
Endüstri Mühendisliği ve Bilgisayar Mühendisliği çift ana dal son sınıf öğrencisi olarak amacım kritik sorunları makine öğrenmesi konseptlerinin yardımıyla önceden tespit ederek hızlı ve etkili çözümler sağlayan sistemleri tasarlamak ve uygulamaktır. En iyi sonuçları ise farklı alanlarda uzmanlaşmış kişilerle çalışarak ve farklı bakış açılarından yararlanarak elde edebileceğime inanmaktayım.
